Preseason Glimpse: Tennis

By Amanda CrutchfieldZ41_8958

Logan County Tennis is going to have an exciting season. New head coach, Jeff Noffsinger, has made some great changes to the tennis team. Already hosting a pork chop sandwich sale, the team now has a significant amount of funds to use. This money is going toward lights for the courts so home matches can last longer when it gets dark. Furthermore, this year the team is investing in team jackets and uniforms. Noffsinger says, “We are going to look good and we are going to play good.”

IMG_0083He also is going to have a senior night for the Cougar Tennis team which has never occurred before at Logan County. Working hard every day in practice, the team is already looking ahead to regionals.  Matthew Edgar, senior and a tennis captain, says “I have never been more excited for tennis season to start. I am really looking forward to how the season progresses.”

The season kicks off tomorrow, March 13th, with the first match against Greenwood at home. Come out and support your Cougar Tennis team!
