Jackson Campbell Commits to Belmont

Logan County Senior, Jackson Campbell, committed to Belmont University to play baseball on July 26th. Campbell chose Belmont over other colleges he received offers from, such as: Western Kentucky University, Morehead State, Jacksonville State, University of New Orleans, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and Trevecca Nazarene University.
When asked why he preferred Belmont, Campbell appreciate’s Belmont’s nice campus located close to home and the great opportunity to excel on the field and in the classroom. He was presented with this offer after being seen playing with the Nashville Knights travel team over the summer.
Some of his most recent baseball accomplishments include: All-Tournament and All-Season Teams during the 13th District Tournament, ranking 1st in the 2016-17 class for catchers, and also 4th overall in Kentucky for his class based on the website Perfect Game. Campbell says he is beyond ready to begin this new chapter in his life that will also fulfill his lifelong dream of playing college baseball.
